Val Nure
This is the Apennines part of our province, where every single tower and bell tower remind us of the old stone works, where the peaks are interrupted by rocky spurs or covered by meadows or woods rich in mushrooms and chestnuts.
If you’re looking for relax and peace, the excursions towards the glacial origin lakes (beautiful during the spring time when water-lilies bloom) will be a good therapy. On the plain, surrounded by vineyards, it will seem to live in an out of time burg: it’ s the magic of Grazzano Visconti, built in Gothic style at the beginning of twentieth century: narrow streets surrounded by green areas, houses with double lancet windows and spires, handicraft shops famous for their objects in wrought iron, ceramics and wood.
In the summer nights you’ll be enchanted by elves and wizards, captured by dragons and freed by brave knights: from May to October the Historical Parade, the Medieval Village, the Fairy-tale Nights and the Night of Aloisa (the ghost still wandering in the burg looking for her lost love) are waiting for you. But if travelling means knowing and discovering, vacation let you do whatever you want in a place where you don’t need strong sensations to get moved and proofs to show how much you’re worth. At lunch times you’ll appreciate the mountain flavours and smells such as mushrooms, truffles, potatoes, game, wild fruits while sipping a great wine served in a typical cup.
