Cycling around the glacial lakes
Friday: arrival in the late afternoon. Double room accomodation in historic hotel near Lago Nero (Black Lake) and typical local dinner. Saturday: after and abundant breakfast you leave for Ferriere, a lively summer holidays village, of past importance for the iron and copper mines of which still you can see some pits. Following the route towards Casaldonato, through the Passo del Mercatello you descend to Brugneto and then up again till the Groppo of Lavezzara reaching Castelveto, Ciregna, Solaro (with its church of 11th century) to arrive then to the table-lands of Centenaro. Then again towards Ca' Gregorio up to Perotti: here a break tasting cold cuts and cheese. From Perotti you arrive then to Ferriere and return to the hotel, from where , with an easy walk you can enjoy the wonderful landscape of Lago Nero (Black Lake) . Dinner and overnight in the hotel near Lago Nero Sunday: after an abundant breakfast still starting from Ferriere, directing towards Rompeggio you reach Monte Ragola, famous mushroom picking up area, then you proceed towards Bino lake and Moo lake, of glacial origin, passing through areas rich with rare flora. Then you return to the starting point to have lunch in a typical eatery.
