FROM CASTLES TO CASTLES , DISCOVERING THE NOBILITY OF THE PAST

FIRST DAY: in the morning tour of the medieval village of Rivalta perfectly preserved, visit to the castle, elegant high class residence still inhabited by the ancient proprietors, the Zanardi Landi Counts. Tasting stop in wine factory of Trebbia Valley for lunch and possibility of buying RDO wines, from Gutturnio to Ortrugo. Early in the afternoon, stop in Tidone Valley, in the background the imposing Rocca d'Olgisio (Olgisio Fortress), one of the most ancient and suggestive fortress of Piacenza area, encircled by 6 rows of walls. Accommodation in ****hotel which is ancient country house of the XV century, ancient commander residence, dinner and overnight stay. SECOND DAY : breakfast in hotel, and departure for Parma area. Visit to Rocca Meli Lupi (Meli Lupi Fortress) of Soragna, with its luxury halls and wonderful park; then transfer to Rocca Sanvitale of Fontanellato, with one of the main masterpiece of Italian Mannerism, the room painted by Parmigianino in 1524 portraying Diana and Attenoe. Typical lunch in suggestive restaurant in the ancient dining hall of the Cistercian Abbey of Fontevivo. In the afternoon tour in the Reggia of Colorno, monumental architectonic structure encircled by Parma stream, the square and wonderful French garden recently restored.
