SLOW CYCLE RIDING THROUGH CASTLES AND VERDI'S LANDS

FIRST DAY: in the morning tour by bicycle through the Verdi's lands. Departure from Polesine Parmense, collection of bicycles and arrival at Villa Verdi (Verdi's Country House) for guided visit; second stop at Busseto to visit Teatro Regio and Casa Barezzi, important places in the great composer life; last stop at Roncole Verdi to visit the great composer's birthplace and lunch in historic restaurant. In the early afternoon again on bicycle till Soragna to visit the castle and Parmigianino Museum, and then return to Polesine where bicycles are left. Transfer by bus to the ***hotel in a medieval fortress, dinner and overnight. SECOND DAY: breakfast in hotel, then sailing on the river Po with motorship Calpurnia, to discover local flora and fauna and river landscapes. Lunch in a typical restaurant on the river banks (freshwater fish menu with eels and catfish upon request). In the afternoon visit to the Lowlands castles: San Pietro in Cerro castle founded in 1460, which contains about thrity magnificently furnished rooms, halls, kitchen and prisons.

The price includes: 1 overnight stay in double bed/double room in ***hotel, HB (dinner beverages included), entrance and guided visit to Villa Verdi (Verdi's Country House), to the Teatro Regio and Casa Barezzi in Busseto; to the birthplace in Roncole, to the castle of Soragna , to the Parmigianino Museum and to the castle of San Pietro in Cerro; lunch in a typical restaurant in Roncole Verdi (menu beverages included); bicycle renting from Polesine and return back in the same place; sailing with motorship Calpurnia (see "notes"). The price does not include: transfers, extras € 10, 00 agency fees, and anything not indicated upon "the price includes". Notes : to take advantage of the above-mentioned price/person the sailing on board of Calpurnia has to be planned on the same sailing dates already programmed for the individual tours.
