VERDI’S LANDS, PIACENZA LOWLANDS AND CREMONA: SYMPHONY OF RELAX AND TASTE

FIRST DAY: in the morning, entrance and guided visit to San Pietro in Cerro castle, valuable example of Renaissance castle for a visit in the historic rooms and to MIM - Museum in Motion, important collection of contemporary art exhibited in the attic room; then a stop in a farm factory to taste and buy local products, made following ancient recipes; then brunch in typical restaurant in the Lowlands. In the afternoon, visit to the first Verdian place: Villa Verdi (Verdi Country House), the compositor's home where he lived and worked for long time. Accommodation in***hotel located in ancient medieval castle, relaxation in the wellness section, dinner and overnight. SECOND DAY : breakfast in hotel and day dedicated to a tour through Verdi's lands. Visit to the Giuseppe Verdi's birthplace at Roncole, then in Busseto and Teatro Regio (Regio Theater) and to Casa Barezzi (Barezzi House): lunch in delicatessen in Busseto. Departure to Cremona for a guided visit of the town: the Town Hall with the Violin Hall and the masterpieces of the Cremona classical workshop of instruments, till the Cathedral in Romanesque style of the XII century, from the Baptistery to the neoclassic Ponchielli Theatre, from XXV Aprile Gallery, to Roma Square Gardens with the ingenious lute-maker Antonio Stradivari's tombstone.
